Gateway Band?
Blink 182 were probably the first band that I really loved. I remember reading the liner notes and using their thank you lists to discover a whole new world of music I would not have known any other way. At the same time, Fuzigish were the band that made me fall in love with live music and the community of punk rock.

Favourite Album Ever?
Pretty impossible to have just one because my tastes have shifted so much over the years and I have had many favourites at different points in my life. If I have to answer this it’s going to be a three-way tie between: Dude Ranch by Blink 182, Making Friends by No Use For A Name and CIVILWAR by Dillinger Four. This is a mean question and I reserve the right to answer differently at any time.

Guilty Pleasure?
Taylor Swift, The Mighty Ducks trilogy and the YouTube hole.

Favourite Gig?
Another really tough question! The whole of Fest 10 was special, as was MPF 2018. Propagandhi, RVIVR and Bad Cop/Bad Cop in LA was a mind-blowing experience. Fuzigish playing a setlist consisting of 40 songs at The Good Luck Bar in Johannesburg was epic and reminded us that age doesn’t really matter in punk (unless you want to spend over an hour in the pit). Seeing No Use For A Name in Australia and getting to meet the band before the show was and will always be one of the highlights of my life.

Favourite Venue?
Roxy’s in Johannesburg, Rebellion in Manchester and The Wooly in Gainesville.

Silliest Thing Done For Punk Rock?
As a teenager I spiked and dyed my hair different colours a few times. I also lifted my shirt at the front of the stage for a free Paramore CD.

What To Buy You If I See You At A Gig?
I’m generally happy with a sincere high-five, but if you’re going to the bar I like dry cider or sparkling water.

Band You've Seen The Most?
Fuzigish

Band You Wish You Could Have Seen?
Again, so many choices here! From the top of my head right now: Zero Down and Enemy You.

What Punk Rock Means To You?
To begin with… everything.

Other Interests?
Software development, Lego, mountain biking and video games.
